Curriculum · Scope & sequence

What a year in FutureKin covers.

Six domains, three age tiers, sequenced so each mission builds on the one before it. Lessons marked Playable can be tried right now — the rest are in production.

How to read this

Missions run six to ten minutes and are designed for one sitting. A tier's full year is roughly eighteen missions — about one a week during a school year, with room to repeat. Every mission gates its reward on the same comprehension check regardless of age.

The six domains

What we teach, and why these six.

Money

Saving, spending, cost, value, and delayed gratification. Aligned to the 2021 National Standards for Personal Financial Education.

Digital Safety

Recognising manipulation, protecting credentials, and knowing when to involve an adult. Aligned to ISTE Digital Citizen.

AI Literacy

How these systems work, where they fail, and how to judge what they produce. No incumbent textbook covers this.

Ownership

What it means to own something, digital and physical. Licences, accounts, and the difference between having and holding.

Coding

Sequence, logic, and cause and effect — reasoning about systems rather than syntax.

Creator Economics

How attention becomes income, what a platform takes, and what "free" actually costs.

Full sequence

Every mission, by tier.

Five missions are playable end to end. The rest are written, scoped, or planned, and the pilot is how we decide the order they get built in.

Pilot participants choose what comes next

If your co-op needs the Ownership sequence before the Coding one, tell us and it moves up. We would rather build the eighteen missions a real classroom uses than fifty-four nobody asked for.
